Now you decide the exact
look of your GoldMine completion forms. YOUR screen pops
inside GoldMine and suddenly it's a no brainer to get the
data that you want recorded. It's
not just a static form either - based on the data entered,
the form can launch actions similar to Automated Processes.
Imagine calling a GoldMine contact, popping a customer
form, clicking in three fields, and having GoldMine 1)
Update two fields, 2) Complete a History Record, 3) Update a
sales forecast, 4) Schedule a follow-up call in five months
(two months before the contact's contract expires). We did
this for one of our clients and saved their sales rep
countless hours of repetitive data entry.
Here are some other examples:
CASE 1: A
medical device manufacturer is required to track
specific problem issues related to their products. We
created a custom screen that the regulatory department
uses to record these events.
On one screen the
customer service representative could enter (or lookup)
the patient name and the reporting dealer contact name.
The form contained fields and drop-down lists for the
product id and serial numbers. It also contained a series
of checkboxes and fields that were designed to compile a
searchable legal note. The proper departments were then
scheduled to follow-up. All of this accuracy was
accomplished with a few mouse clicks.
CASE 2: A
telemarketing firm uses GoldMine to record sales call
results and wanted to obtain specific metrics from
freeform notes. We simply created a checkbox survey form
that created a searchable note and reported using the
data in the note.
CASE 3: An event
management company used GoldMine to maintain their list
of companies and upcoming events. They created GoldMine
Opportunities to keep track of event details. When an
individual registered for an event the event specialist
would search for the event (opportunity), link the
individual to the event, write a history record,
schedule a forecasted sale to invoice the individual,
and complete the same forecasted sale if the person
paid, scheduled the person to the date of the event, and
modified a few custom fields.
The gmScreens solutions
to this complex method was to create a single
registration screen. After clicking check boxes, filling
in a few text fields, and clicking the 'Submit' button
the event manager could move to the next call while
gmScreens did the rest of the work.
