With a form on your web site and either a Common Gateway Interface (CGI) script or an Active Server Page (ASP) on you web server, you can pull information from the web directly into GoldMine. A well-versed web programmer could implement the process without too much trouble, but how many of us have one of those on staff? Usually, when a visitor fills out a form on your web site, the information gets e-mailed to someone. This person must then type it into the system and figure out what to do with it. With the GoldMine Web Import in place, the visitor fills out the form, the information is processed by the web server, it is sent to GoldMine via a special e-mail, and the data is pulled directly into the system. Automated processes can be started and sales people notified, just as with any other new prospect, only GoldMine does all the work!
